"Tin Pan Blues Band: a 1920's style swing, jump, and blues band that sounds like Ray Charles and Tom Waits at New Orleans Bourbon Street parade."

A band from NYC, I saw them when they were touring here in Greensboro and I friggin' loved them.

Tin Pan Blues Band in Central Park

Aw shit son!!!!!
When i was touring the US and was in NY i saw this band perform.
I was actually in central park together with KY and we both enjoyed the music very much.

Oh shit! Nice man, yeah, they're really cool dudes. No one was at their show really, so they came and talked to me because they noticed I knew had been playing air cello or something like that. Haha, they wanted me to go and get my cello; but no, they're awesome!

There was actually a big crowd watching them perform. But it was also a really nice and sunny afternoon.
I think i made a vid of it. Should upload it to my youtube one day.

They have a few albums out, I bought them. I would definitely recommend the buys, although they don't compare to seeing them live.

Pattern Is Movement - Sound Of Your Voice - Live at ...

The drummer makes me SO fucking happy. Just watch that bastard go at 1:20. Really cool album too, even though it took some listens for it to hit me.

A band called "Dead Meadow"

I heard them on a college radio station one day and I really loved the overall feel of the music. It's Zeppelin meets Floyd meets Radiohead. The singer isn't all that talented to be totally honest, but it doesn't detract from the experience. I've already turned a bunch of my friends on to them. Check out some songs:

First an instrumental.
Dead Meadow - Greensky Greenlake

Here's a single.
Dead Meadow - "What Needs Must Be"

One of the coolest songs I've ever heard.
Dead Meadow - Let It All Pass

And another cool one:
DEAD MEADOW - Eyeless Gaze All Eye-Don't Tell The Riverman - Unofficial video
