I FUCKING HATE circlejerking in chat.
I may be going off on a tangent here and I apologize for that but can you (or anyone) elaborate on what circlejerking in chat is? I don't mean the literal meaning, I know very much what a circle jerk is. Do you mean people acting all buddy-buddy to the point where they're basically RPing as lovers/friends/etc? Do you mean people who act incredibly friendly with people withing a certain group while excluding others? Do you mean people who praise each other and put themselves above others? Is it possible that these are real things that happen because humans as a social species tend to order themselves like this? Am I completely off-mark in my understanding and if so maybe that's the reason the issue hasn't been looked at or resolved; because some people don't know what you mean?
I got called out for circle jerking because I was talking specifically to my friends in chat.
My definition of a circlejerk goes as such: If a small group of individuals are
only interacting with each other in chat without paying attention to the stream or contributing to the current discussion in chat I think it might as well be through PMs/steam. I doubt 250+ members in chat care about what you did with your friends today or what daily actives you do. This isn't your personal Twitter or Facebook.
Now, this whole behavior wasn't really much of a big deal before but lately it seems that the chat is constantly that way, with people talking about their day or having some sort flirt-ish conversation.. it got old and annoying. No one cares but the people who are in your same circlejerk.
